‘I don’t like doing movies, period. Movies are hard. I like TV’ – Kathy Griffin
I don’t really like films. I’m in no way shape or form a film buff. I consider myself concentrationally challenged and have the attention span of a gnat so sitting there for 2 hours waiting Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey to finally get together or for Bradley Cooper to finally take his top off isn’t the best use of my time. I could watch a TV series back to back all day long, but they’re like little mini movies where the beginning, middle and the end all happen within about 45 minutes – much more absorption friendly.
So, needless to say I’m not a massive movie fan. There are a few films however that I have seen over the years that I have thoroughly enjoyed and could (shamefully) watch over and over again. Please, no judgement.
1. Dangerous Minds
‘There are no victims in this classroom!’ – Great use of Bob Dylan lyrics and also has a great soundtrack
2. Clueless
I wanted to BE Alicia Silverstone and as such spent the majority of the early-mid 90’s in tartan.
3. Thirteen
Before Evan Rachel Wood went all weird and Nikki Reed got all Vampire-y they were in this film together, more angsty than a recently dumped goth at an Alanis Morissette concert and I just love it!
4. Mean Girls
See a theme here? My favourite movies are essentially film versions of reality TV! Who doesn’t love Mean Girls anyway?!
