Review: Peachy Fox Skincare

I’ve written multiple times in the  past that my skin is as indecisive as a leaf in the wind; my forehead has the wrinkles of a 90 year old yet my chin has the acne of a hormonal teenager and I swear to god it makes me so angry I could hurt myself. If Peachy Fox the answer?

I’ve also never been a massive fan of spending a massive amount on skincare and makeup because, well i’m mainly quantity over quality and also am a little bit of a tightwad.

Peachy Fox are the new skincare kids on the block and boast a clean, conscious, all natural & organic range of products made in the UK. They also never test on animals and are completely vegan.

So with all my skin woes in mind, I was really excited when they asked if they could send me some skincare products to try out as I’m always looking for the holy grail of creams that can take to task my wrinkles and my acne.

Organic Retinol Moituriser – £16.99

  • Featuring Powerful Natural ingredients, That helps leave your skin nourished and radiant.
  • Effective Retinol Formula, That helps to diminish the signs of aging.
  • Potent Retinol anti aging lotion Will leave Your Skin feeling Nourished & moisturised.

I’m certainly not a snob when it comes to skincare and I’m always looking for something that can combat my combination skin. This is the perfect one stop cream at a reasonable price. It’s advised to be used as day and a night cream which sometimes can mean that the consistency isn’t one or the other. Although on the thicker side it’s not too thick that it feels heavy when applied in the morning as a day cream. I love how tight it makes my face feel minutes after application, it makes me feels like I have a little mini face lift every morning! A little goes a long way and it smells gorgeous, it was also a godsend on a recent holiday to Cornwall which involved a wedding, a bit of sunshine and a lot of wine – all occasions where I needed my skin looking an feeling like it’s had a little extra TLC.

I suffer a lot for patchy redness in my skin due to being quite fair, and I often fall into the trap with anti redness creams where I expect them to make my skin look like it has it’s own Instagram filter on – which of course is nonsense – it’s a cream not a miracle! So like most anti redness creams I’ve tried in the past, this doesn’t eliminate the patchiness totally, it does calm it down a lot. I use this mostly as a primer as it feels more like a serum than a cream but it doesn’t feel heavy under make up and smells divine! The downside of this for me is the price tag, £21.99 is a lot of money for 50ml of cream, especially when No7 Protect and Perfect and Skin Solutions do a similar product for a smaller cost. Time will tell how long the product actually lasts me and whether it’s worth the investment long term.

I found the Retinol Moisturiser a better fit for my skin, I’d love it even more if it contained some spf for the rare days I don’t wear make up however it formulates such a good base and fills in the cavernous wrinkles on my forehead so well I’ll let it off for that. And anything with that kind of grouting power definitely earns a permanent spot on my dressing table!
