‘Women often fall into the trap of, ‘Oh, these are my weekend clothes. These are my work clothes. This is what I wear at night.’ It’s so old-fashioned’ – Michael Kors
I made a conscious decision when I got my new job last October that I was going to start dressing less like a PA and more like a manager; dress for the job you want and all that! As luck would have it, in May, along with the seasons changing I’ve also been spending a lot of time down in our Eastbourne so perfect opportunity to try and develop a new work style.
As with everything in my life I’m a quantity over quality girl so have been hitting up Primark, TK Maxx and Matalan for my new dream job wardrobe. I flip flop between wanting to wear skirts and dresses and really looking like a fancy dan girl about town, or just wearing some flattering, comfy tailored pieces, so this month I’ve been experimenting with both:
Jacket: MK One (who?!), t-shirt and trousers: Primark, Sandals: New Look
Dress: Marks & Spencer, Jacket and sandals as above
L-R, Cardigan and skirt: Primark, Vest: George @ Asda. White top: F&F @ Tesco, Trousers: Mango, Sandals: Havaianas. White t-shirt: Dorothy Perkins, Trousers: H&M, Sandals: Havaianas
Cardigan: George @ Asda. Dress: ASOS
LOVE outfit number 2 from the collage (white t and mang0 trousers) on you – very smart and chic.
Ah thanks Sam! I think that’s my favourite from this month as well!
