What I Wore : June 2018

‘Summer is the time when one sheds one’s tensions with one’s clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all’s right with the world’ – Ada Louise Huxtable

June has been a game of two halves for me (#worldcupchat); the first two weeks saw me tirelessly back down to Eastbourne (the third time in 6 weeks) to deliver some training and give a presentation. So needless to say it mattered to me what I looked like. It’s also been unseasonably warm this month, well for the north east of England anyway, which presents it’s work wear challenges.

The second half of the month however way our 2 yearly trip to Portugal to stay at my uncle’s cottage to soak up the sun and watch the footie. So I was happy to let my hair down (literally) not wear make up, and live in a bikini for 2 weeks. We also managed to squeeze in a day with Carrie and her family who were on holiday in Portugal the same time. For the sake of her young nephews I thought it best that I invest in some more flattering beach wear so Primark for the win this month for sure!
