‘My December is typically one big, sweaty ‘wintry mix’ blur, not a punch-laden, heartwarming mixer’ – Emily Weiss
Fun fact. December was the month were #newmanscloset was born a few years ago. I always used to do a Christmas outfit round up post because it was the month I went out the most and people would ask where I got my outfits from. It grew from there when I changed jobs and started to smarten up from work. People seemed interested in my fashion journey so expanded it to what I wore all year round.
I feel I say this every year but this month is particularly true; I always over commit in December. At the beginning of the month I’m all up for it and it feels like everything is nicely spaced out but when it comes to it i’m shattered and have gained all my Christmas weight by 10th December and I’m already starting to think about my January diet and getting back to the gym every day. I had two big nights out at the beginning and end of the month mixed in with a few dinners and mid week nights out with friends.
Everything was fun in isolation but it’s not just the night out, it’s the fuzzy head the next day and the temptation to eat nothing but lard. Someone please remind me of this in December when I’m starting to do it all again! What’s done is done now though and I eased into the festive season with a trip to Bongos Bingo…
